Youth volunteer union inaugurated in Zhangjiang

The Shanghai International Medical Zone Youth Volunteer Union was inaugurated in the city's Zhangjiang area on July 18. The union aims to promote nutrition and health-related education.
In total, 30 local institutions including Shanghai International Medical Zone, Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center, Shanghai Siemens Medical Equipment Co, and Shanghai Yisi Medical Technology Co, joined the union.
The union will give its volunteers professional training, across a variety of aspects such as cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, fire safety, rescue procedures, psychological counseling, maternal and infant nutrition, and disease prevention.
The establishment of the union is regarded as a significant step for the development of volunteer activities in Shanghai International Medical Zone.
The Shanghai International Medical Zone is designed to be a modern medical science city, focusing on modern medical service, medical equipment, and biomedicine industry. The zone has also been dedicated to organizing various volunteering activities.
