Different from other museums, HOW is a night museum, opening from 1 pm to 10 pm on weekdays and from 10 am to 10 pm at weekends and during holidays.
A solo exhibition themed “Manifesto” by a prestigious German artist Julian Rosefeldt took place on the same day to mark the opening of the art museum.
The exhibits include five film installations and 21 photographic works. The most important exhibit is a work named Manifesto, composed of 13 videos playing at the same time, featuring the most representative manifestos of the 20th century to recreate new manifestos for 21st century.
The work pays tribute to the tradition of manifesto and the beauty of literature as well as expressing the hope of art changing the world. Cate Blanchett, a renowned Australian actress, plays 13 characters in the videos.
