Information security lab launched in Zhangjiang

An information security lab was inaugurated at Zhangjiang High Tech Park, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, on Sept 30.
The lab is a joint effort of Shanghai Municipal Center for Disease Control & Prevention (SCDC) and Shanghai People Net Security Technology Co, aimed at improving the city's capacity for protecting its disease control and prevention data and building a safe and reliable health care information supervision and service system.
The two backers will work together on data security protection, traceability supervision and service, as well as the construction of an app system for health service, and a big data security situation awareness platform.
The lab is expected to be an industrialization base for new technologies and products related to health care information security.
Tan Jianfeng, chairman of Shanghai People Net Security Technology Co, said that the company's information security core technology serves as a basis for its cooperation with SCDC. This cooperation will contribute to the development of more innovative security solutions and improve information security in the health care sector, Tan said.
Shanghai People Net Security Technology Co, founded in Zhangjiang in 2007, is a high-tech company focusing on the R&D of network information security technology. It has applied more than 100 patents.
