Leading protein sciences facility in Shanghai

According to the National Center for Protein Science · Shanghai (NCPSS) in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, the protein facility has run for more than 530,000 hours and served 4,822 subjects from more than 290 institutions at home and abroad over the past four years.
NCPSS is the world's first comprehensive protein research facility, with a total investment of 756 million yuan ($109.41 million). It started trial operations in 2014 and passed national evaluation to officially open in 2015.

The facility can perform high-precision and large-scale protein preparation and purification and is open to scientists and research institutes at home and abroad, as well as company clients.
It has greatly improved China's protein research capabilities. A number of scientific breakthroughs have come out of the facility, including the discovery of the Ebola virus and possible new preventative measures aimed at complicated diseases such as avian influenza and the Middle East respiratory syndrome.
